Big Bandits – Colors of Christmas

Featuring Sabine Kühlich

For several years now, the project big band led by Werner Hüsgen has been presenting an exceptional jazz-inspired Christmas programme during the festive season.

Through an ongoing search for intriguing songs and original arrangements, the band has developed a wonderfully vibrant and sometimes refreshingly unconventional concert programme. It takes the audience on a musical journey from traditional German Christmas carols dressed in jazzy, angelic new arrangements to American Christmas classics and soulful gospel songs.

Swinging, reflective and occasionally rocking, the programme offers a rich variety of musical colours and moods. Far removed from the commercial sounds that seem to accompany us at every turn during the Christmas season, the Big Bandits create a truly distinctive festive experience, full of musical warmth, charm and surprises.

A very special guest joining the Big Bandits is Sabine Kühlich, winner of the Montreux Jazz Voice Competition, whose distinctive voice promises to add an extra touch of magic to this unique Christmas concert.
